Volume Audio Stores

The Visua team have recently designed an exciting new brand identity for an Australian chain of high-end audio stores. The project entailed the generation of a new company name and the rebranding of an established leading retail business from the ground up. Previously called Just Klapp, the business has totally reinvented itself. The name “Volume” expresses the core essence of the new business direction and helps position the company within the mainstream retail market. Our team worked closely with retail designers Studio Ginger to ensure the new brand vision was realised across all aspects of the business.

Momentum Builders, Head Office Signage

When Visua generated the name and created the brand for Momentum Builders in 2003, part of the process was to develop a unique typographic expression as the businesses logotype. We designed a custom typeface to reflect the qualities of the new brand identity. This new typeface was created as an entire alphabet allowing for the visual language to be extended to items such as building signage. In 2008, Momentum built their new headquarters in South Melbourne. Architectural cues from the building were integrated into the interior and exterior signage. Here, utilising our custom typeface, a simple street number takes on a truly architectural almost sculptural form, incised into a 4 metre concrete block.

Australia Post, Environmental Graphics

In building and fitting out their new corporate headquarters in Bourke Street Melbourne, Australia Post required interior environmental graphics the help differentiate and define each level of the building. Working closely with interior designers Geyer, our Creative Director designed and directed the creation of seventeen unique, nine metre long artworks using specific stamp series as themes. The completed artwork draws the viewer into the space by starting at the lift lobby and continuing around the corner, into the open plan foyer. The use of large bold graphics juxtaposed against fine detail work made the artworks work incredibly well close up and from a distance.
